**1000 spots taken -250 spots left**
We're visiting more of our amazing Doncaster communities and we've created a route that has the potential to be one of the 'most supported' events ever!
For 2022 we're limited to just 1250 entries (don't worry we will have more in 2023 if you miss out!)
Finishing with the final KM on the world class Doncaster cycle track, (as used in the UCI Championships 2019).
Great for runners and even better for the spectators!
The Half Marathon, will of course, be visiting the fantastically supportive Rossington community once again and crossing the original start-line from 1982.
Our Club Doncaster friends are out and about at the local schools in the lead up to the big day :)
As the event goes through the heart of lots of our lovely communities, we're providing some great colouring sheets for our supporters to get creative with!
Our friends at First Buses are 'all aboard' to support runners in the Doncaster Half Marathon!
Not only are the team helping to re-route services around the event road closures(thank you!) , they are also:
Or you can GET YOUR NAME IN LIGHTS ON A BUS!... support First Buses fundraiser for St John’s Hospice, every £5 you donate on their just giving put you into a raffle for your chance to have your name (or another runners) name come up in lights out on our Half Marathon course. We're absolutely delighted that Club Doncaster Foundation, The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Firefly are joining us in 2022 as our event charity partners!
They'll be running in the event with free spaces (supported by your t-shirt purchases), out on the course cheering you on, and of course doing amazing work in the community or with our nature friends!
Get in touch if you would like to get involved in supporting our charity friends :)
This is a great one hour documentary on the 1983 St Leger Half Marathon with over 4000 runners. We're chuffed that we're "doffing the running cap" to the course and passing over the original start line from this 1983 video.
ps: we think the 80's sportswear is due a come back!
